When you contact me by email or phone at Memoirs for Life, I invite you to tell me what you want to do with your memoir and ask any
questions about my writing services. Writing memoirs can seem confusing or overwhelming at the start. I hope that I may have answered
some of your questions in this website. Feel free to ask more.
Fees & Compensation
I usually work as a ghostwriter or writer for memoirs on a project fee basis. I will provide you with an estimate after our consultation
helps me determine the scope of your memoir, my role in putting it together, and the amount of time our work may take. Once we agree on
a project fee, I begin work with a 50% deposit. Your memoir may take only a few months to write, with an additional period for
publishing, or it may take a bit longer. We can clarify this during our initial planning session. I offer a free initial 30-minute phone consultation to discuss your needs and answer any questions you may have. Be sure to ask about my 2009 Economy Boost Special for personal histories or memoirs of 50 pages or less.
Travel
At Memoirs for Life, I travel all over the country and outside the U.S. to assist clients with their memoirs. We can meet in or near
your own home, and I am available to visit your hometown with you. My travel expenses are above the project fee.
Hourly Fees
As a writing coach, editor, or advisor on memoirs, I usually work on an hourly basis. Sometimes a project fee may fit. Let's
discuss the best arrangement.
What Clients Say
“After I crashed on the Hudson River on US Airways Flight 1549, Kevin and I began working together on a reflective account of the experience encompassing 25 of the passengers and first responders. “Brace for Impact” is the result. Kevin kept all the participants focused and united us as friends. I cannot think of a more qualified, trustworthy, empathetic, and finally, kind, author to work with.” – Mark Hood, contributor to BRACE FOR IMPACT
